Apple to use OLED displays in iPad Air and Mini

Ana sayfa / Tablets

Apple wants to heat up the competition in the affordable tablet market. New reports have revealed that the iPad Air and Mini models will use OLED instead of LCD. The new devices, due in 2026, will also feature larger screens.

New information from South Korea has revealed all about Apple’s plans to switch iPad models to OLED displays. According to the report, Apple will bring T1 OLED (single-stack tandem) displays to the iPad Air and iPad Mini starting in 2026.

We know that Apple has been focusing on OLED displays for some time. OLED displays will replace LCD panels in the Air and Mini lineup, improving contrast and brightness in many ways. The model to be released in 2026 is expected to be the 12.9-inch iPad Air.

Red Magic 9 Pro’s other feature has been confirmed!

ZTE announced that the Red Magic 9 Pro will be powered by a 6500 mAh battery, as revealed in the promotional poster shared in the past hours

The iPad Mini, which will be introduced in 2026, is expected to have a screen size of 8.7 inches. This means an increase in screen size compared to the current 8.3-inch model. However, Apple is sticking with the Mini concept and keeping the 8-inch screen size.

The report also revealed that Apple could introduce a new iPad Pro with an OLED display in 2027. Early rumors suggested that the company wants to use a more advanced dual-stack OLED panel for the iPad Pro. This means that the screen difference between Air and Pro will be maintained.

On the other hand, leaks from a while ago reported that the iPad Mini 7 will be sold starting at $449. The iPad Air, powered by the M1 chip, is planned to be upgraded to the M2 chip. iPad Mini will debut with the A16 Bionic chip.
